Types Of Industrial Wall-climbing Robots
May 18, 2025
Industrial wall-climbing robots mainly include the following types:
Explosion-proof wall-climbing robots: These robots are usually used in dangerous environments such as petroleum and chemical industries. They can operate in flammable and explosive environments to ensure the safety of operators.
Intelligent inspection robots: These robots use the "eye-hand-brain" multimodal perception technology to monitor the status of equipment through "listening-seeing-smelling", realize remote monitoring and management, and improve decision-making response speed.
Rust removal robots: These robots use high-pressure water jet systems to remove rust, which is efficient and environmentally friendly. For example, in the No. 34 crude oil storage tank, the rust removal robot quickly removes the rust of the tank at a high efficiency of 16 square meters per hour.
Painting robots: These robots are used for spraying paint on the inner and outer walls of the tank. They have adjustable spraying width and high spraying efficiency, and are suitable for large-scale anti-corrosion construction.
Grinding and rust removal robot: This type of robot works through grinding and rust removal mechanisms, and is suitable for rust removal on the surface of newly built tanks, especially for the treatment of large amounts of rust inside tanks after welding and water sealing.
Magnetic wall climbing robot: This type of robot is adsorbed on the metal surface by magnetic force, and is suitable for the inspection and maintenance of structures such as bridges, tunnels, and dams, with high safety and flexibility.
