Working Process Of Magnetic Flux Leakage Detector
May 19, 2025
The specific working process of magnetic flux leakage detector includes the following steps:
Magnetization: Magnetize the ferromagnetic material to be tested. If the material inside the material is continuous and uniform, the magnetic induction line will be constrained in the material, and there will be almost no magnetic field on the surface; if there is a defect, the magnetic flux will be distorted, and part of the magnetic flux will leak into the space on the surface of the material, forming a leakage magnetic field.
Detection: Use magnetic induction sensors (such as Hall sensors) to obtain leakage magnetic field signals, and then send them to the computer for signal processing. By analyzing the magnetic flux density components of the leakage magnetic field, the characteristics of the defects, such as width and depth, can be further understood.
Signal processing: The detected leakage magnetic field signals are processed to identify, locate and quantify defects. By analyzing these signals, the geometric dimensions of the defects, pipeline characteristics and other abnormal conditions can be identified.
